Design of the Apple iPhone 14 Pro: Stylish, Robust, and Compact, but Feels Heavy
I wont go into specifics about the location of buttons and connectors as you are already familiar with the appearance of the iPhone 14 Pro. The design is nearly identical to that of the iPhone 13 Pro, with the exception of the outdated notch at the top of the screen being replaced by a Dynamic Island (more on that later). Due to its stainless steel chassis, the phone is extremely durable and built to last. Additionally, you receive IP68-rated defence against liquids and dust.
Despite being tiny, it weighs more than 200 grammes and feels weighty in the hand. Given its pricing, I did not test its ability to withstand a few drops, but it should be able to. I did unintentionally drop it on my toe from a foot up, and it took a few days for the swelling to go down.
It has an air of elegance that you associate with Apple devices because to the glass back and rounded corners. Even better, it resists smudging thanks to the matte finish at the back. The glossy metal frame must occasionally be cleaned because it collects a lot of fingerprints and smudges.
Sharp, high-resolution display on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro with a flexible refresh rate.
You now have an LTPO display with a variable refresh rate, but the screen size is the same and the resolution is just slightly higher than its predecessor.
The 6.1-inch LTPO Super Retina XDR OLED display on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro has a maximum brightness of 2000 nits and a resolution of 2556 x 1179 pixels. It has a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz for flicker-free operation and is HDR10 and Dolby Vision certified.
Depending on the information being shown on the screen, the refresh rate automatically switches between 1 Hz and 120 Hz. For instance, the refresh rate increases when scrolling through material to make the action more fluid.
